I live in Bedford Va at Smith Mountain Lake with my wonderful wife and 3 children. We attend Blue Ridge Community Church and avid Christ followers. I started kayak fishing tournaments in 2015 and been blessed with countless top 10s, top 5s, wins and 2x KBF National Championship qualifer. My favorite wins coming on the New River and the James River. Smallmouth fishing has a special place in my heart. Being on a river in God's country is truly magical. My biggest passion in the sport is the fellowship and changing lives. For the past 2 years God lead me and some close friends on a journey in the forum of Charity fishing tournaments. These Charities benefited Heroes On the Water and Stay Strong Va. Heroes On the Water is an organization that takes Vets and first responders on kayak fishing trips. Stay Strong Va is an organization that helps people and families going through battles with eating disorders. Through these tournaments we gained life long friends, helped so many people financially, and changed lives forever. For the 2020 season I will be in the Feelfree Lure 11.5 Overdrive. This kayak gives me the ability to cover more water, exceptional stability, and the most comfortable seat on the market. This season I will be fishing the KBF trying to gain as many Angler Of the Year points as possible. I am also the director of The Bass Cast Kayak Bass Series. A series based out of Lynchburg, Virginia. It will be a fun series to fish with my 7yr old son Luke. I look forward to meeting you on the water and helping in anyway I can. Tight lines and God Bless!
Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, my wife of 36 years and I live in Stuarts Draft. I have fished as long as I can remember in just about every pond, lake or river I could get to as a kid. Since then, I have owned big boats and canoes. I even spent time in the U.S. Army on tug boats where I fished every chance I got. When I moved from canoes to kayaks years ago as they began to get popular, I realized this is the best way to get out and enjoy the great outdoors that God has provided. Experiencing fishing or just getting out from a kayak is just amazing. The quite peaceful time spent on a river or lake with great friends and family is irreplaceable. I really enjoy river floats hunting down trophy small mouth, but my passion is chasing down monster blue catfish and flatheads. I’ve even landed some 40 plus pound carp just a few pounds from the state record. I look forward to getting out and learning from others and sharing my knowledge with others. Now that I have 2 kayaks, I hope to share this experience with others that may never have that chance. Rise up, take courage and do it. Ezra 10:4. God, Family, Country.
I was raised in Afton Va at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My wife Nancy and I currently live in Stuart’s Draft Va. I have always had a passion for the outdoors from a early age. I remember watching my daughter sit for hours casting a snoopy rod and reel when she was little and was happy to see her enjoy it as much as I do. I'm always looking to learn new fishing techniques and share those I have already learned with others. There is nothing like helping a child or even a grown new angler catch their first fish, or the first of a new species of fish. My wife and I will be fishing from Bonafide SS127 kayaks this season . I will be fishing the BassCast kayak fishing series as well as some other KBF events in my pursuit to qualify for an opportunity to fish in the prestigious KBF National Championship. From freshwater to saltwater I will fish for it . I am always looking for a new fishing challenge, and I would be more than willing to assist you with your next adventure!
I grew up in Nelson County, Va. I currently live is Stuart's Draft, Va with my husband, Casey. My first memories of fishing were when I was eight years old. That was the first time I ever cast a bait caster, which didn't go so well. After that I put fishing on the back burner, until I met my husband. He helped me discover my love for fishing and kayaking. I love getting up early and getting on the water to watch the sunrise. The feeling you get when there's a tug on your line, there's nothing more peaceful and exciting at the same time. As for the future, I plan to learn more fishing techniques that I can share with others and to pursue fishing tournaments on the local and national levels. I look forward to seeing everyone on the water!
I grew up in Lyndhurst, Virginia. I currently live in Stuart’s Draft, Virginia with my wife and 5 year old son. I currently work full time as a welder/fabricator. Growing up I always enjoyed trout fishing. I later on got a jon boat and started focusing more on bass fishing. It wasn’t til 3 years ago when I found my love for kayak fishing. I really enjoy getting out on the water with family and friends rather it be for fun or fishing in a tournament.
